Student Orientation

Student orientation is a new studentʼs introduction held during the students first lesson. The student will learn what they should expect of the vocal/piano coach and the student learns what is expected of them. Student orientation includes a consultation and an assessment with the vocal/piano coach. The first payment, student practice booklet fee (one time fee of $10), and signed policy and procedure document is collected on this day. Student is expected to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of their first lesson.

Weekly Schedule

Lessons are set for once a week with a pre-determined set time which is coordinated between the student and Studio-Kevin Hamilton. These sessions are 55 minutes in duration and will not exceed the pre-scheduled time frame.

Daily Practice Time

Students are expected to determine a daily practice regimen and commit to practicing to facilitate their growth. The vocal/piano coach will monitor the students growth and adjust the regimen according to the studentʼs weekly progress. The studentʼs weekly regimen is to be documented and kept in the student practice booklet at all times. Perfect practice makes perfect!

Recital Guidelines

Studio-Kevin Hamilton will plan quarterly recitals to encourage student growth and exposure. The studentʼs performance piece(s) will be determined by the vocal/piano coach and the student. Songs will be selected from the studentʼs repertoire.

Monthly Payment

Students pay on a monthly basis. The first payment is due on the first lesson for the entire month. Monthly payments thereafter are due on the last lesson of the month. Students may use cash, checks, or credit/debit cards. Checks are to be made payable to Southwest Soul Circuit.
